Samsung WW80T504DAX1TL 8 kg Front Load Washer Review
Our verdict
The Samsung WW80T504DAX1TL is an 8 kg front loader that washes well even at low temperatures, offers AI control and Hygiene Steam, and is a good-value alternative to the LG when found on sale.
Buy it if
- Families of 3 to 5 who wash mixed loads of cotton and synthetics
- Buyers who want smart features at a lower street price than LG
- People who prefer cold or warm washes to save geyser time
Skip it if
- You want the lowest spin vibration on an upper-floor flat
- You live where Samsung service is thin
What we like
- Ecobubble pre-dissolves detergent, so cold 30 degree washes stayed effective
- Hygiene Steam cycle for baby clothes, towels and bedding
- AI Control suggests cycles based on load; Wi-Fi via SmartThings
- Quick Wash handled a 3 kg load in about 30 minutes
- Good build and a clear touch panel
What we don’t
- Heavy haldi and oil stains still need the heater cycle
- Spin noise about 68 dB, louder than the LG and Bosch
- Street price swings between sellers; MRP is far above it

The Samsung WW80T504DAX1TL is a solid choice for a family of three to five that wants smart features without paying the LG’s price. It washes well at low temperatures and has a useful steam hygiene cycle. The trade-off is slightly louder spin and the need for the heater on stubborn stains.
How well does Ecobubble wash with cold water?
Better than we expected. Ecobubble mixes detergent with water and air before it reaches the clothes, and the 30 degree cotton cycle removed most dal and tea. Haldi and oil still left a faint shadow, which cleared on the 60 degree heater cycle. Collar grime improved with a pre-wash.
If your geyser backup is limited or your power supply is unreliable, being able to rely on cooler washes is a real benefit.
How long does a cycle take and what does it use?
The 40 degree cotton cycle took about 2 hours 20 minutes. Quick Wash handled a 3 kg load in around 30 minutes. A full 8 kg load used about 54 litres of water and about 0.85 kWh of power at 40 degrees. These numbers sit between the LG and the Bosch.
Is Hygiene Steam worth it?
For baby clothes, bedsheets and towels, yes. The steam cycle adds roughly 25 minutes but leaves fabrics noticeably softer, and it helped with the damp smell that builds up in monsoon laundry. It is not a replacement for a hot wash on heavily soiled items.
How loud is the spin, and does it walk on tile?
Spin noise reached about 68 dB at 1 metre, a little above the LG and the Bosch. The machine stayed in place on tile with balanced loads, though a single heavy bedsheet caused a mild wobble. Residual moisture in cotton after spin was about 53 per cent.
Does it handle voltage swings and low pressure?
It ran fine between 190 and 245 V and resumed after a short power cut mid-cycle. Low inlet pressure slowed filling by a few minutes. With hard water of 300 ppm, light scale formed on the door seal, so a monthly tub-clean is sensible.
Should you buy it?
Buy it if you find it on sale well below MRP; street prices swing between sellers, so compare current offers. It lacks the LG’s cycle speed and quiet, but matches it on features for less money. For a lower budget, the Whirlpool Fresh Care 8212 is the cheaper alternative.
