Which cleans Indian stains better, the LG or the Samsung?
The LG FHP1208Z5M has the edge on stubborn stains. With its heater cycle it removed dal and tea completely and left only a faint ghost of haldi, the best haldi result among the front loaders we tested, and its steam option softened dried-on oil on cotton kurtas.
The Samsung WW80T504DAX1TL is the better cold-water machine. Ecobubble mixes detergent with air and water before it reaches the clothes, so its 30 degree cotton cycle still removed most dal and tea. Haldi and oil left a faint shadow until we used the 60 degree heater cycle. If your geyser backup or power supply is limited, that cold-water performance is a real advantage.
Which is faster and quieter for daily washing?
The LG. Its cotton cycle finished about 15 minutes sooner than the Samsung’s, and its spin was quieter and steadier on a tiled floor. That makes it the better choice for families who run a load every day, or for flats where the machine sits near a bedroom. The Samsung stayed in place on tile with balanced loads, but a single heavy bedsheet made it wobble.
Clothes came out of both about equally damp, so drying time in the monsoon will be much the same.
Is the LG FHP1208Z5M worth paying more than the Samsung?
Only if cycle time and quiet running matter to you. Both have steam, a heater, Wi-Fi app control and an inverter motor, so on features the Samsung WW80T504DAX1TL matches the LG for less money on sale. Both MRPs sit far above street prices that swing between sellers, so compare current offers rather than the sticker. LG’s wider service coverage is the other reason to pay extra; if Samsung service is thin in your town, that alone may decide it.
