Bosch Series 6 WAJ24267IN 8 kg Front Load Review
Our verdict
The Bosch Series 6 WAJ24267IN is an 8 kg front loader that washes and rinses well and runs quietly, but its price, thin feature set and costly, slow after-sales support make it a poor value.
Buy it if
- Buyers who prioritise a quiet drive and thorough rinsing
- Households within reach of a well-rated authorised Bosch service centre
Skip it if
- You want to avoid a large repair bill after the warranty ends
- You want Wi-Fi, auto dosing or other smart features at this price
- You live in a smaller town with no nearby Bosch service
What we like
- EcoSilence Drive kept spin noise to about 66 dB at 1 metre
- Thorough rinsing left little detergent residue on dark cottons
- In-built heater and good stain removal at 60 degrees
- Child lock and a clear control panel
What we don’t
- Eco cotton programme ran about 3 hours 35 minutes
- Costs more than the Samsung and nearly as much as the LG, with fewer smart features than either
- Owner reports describe drum and bearing failures after warranty, with quotes reaching five figures
- Spare parts and technician visits were slow in our enquiries
- Plain feature set: no Wi-Fi or app control

The Bosch Series 6 WAJ24267IN suits buyers who value quiet running and thorough rinsing, and who live near a good Bosch service centre. The trade-off is cost: it sells for more than the Samsung and nearly as much as the LG but has fewer features than either, and owner experience with repairs is the weakest part of the package.
How well does it clean and rinse?
Wash quality is genuinely good. At 60 degrees with the heater, dal and tea stains lifted fully and haldi faded to a trace. Collar grime responded to a pre-soak, as it did on every machine in this group. Rinsing was the standout: dark cottons came out with no visible detergent streaks, which matters if you have sensitive skin or children.
The drum was gentle on shirts and kurtas, and a mixed 8 kg load came out evenly wet rather than clumped.
Is it quiet, and does it vibrate?
It is quieter than most. Spin noise at 1 metre was about 66 dB, and the machine stayed planted on a tiled floor even with a bedsheet and jeans mixed in. Residual moisture after the top spin was around 48 per cent for cotton, which makes monsoon drying easier than on the IFB.
How long are the cycles and how much water does it use?
The eco cotton programme took about 3 hours 35 minutes, the longest of the group, because Bosch stretches the cycle to save energy. A full load used roughly 55 litres. If you wash daily, expect to use the faster programmes and accept less thorough cleaning.
Will it work with hard water and voltage swings?
Hard water of about 350 ppm left light scale on the door seal after five weeks, so a monthly hot drum-clean is sensible. Voltage between 190 and 245 V caused no problems, and the machine resumed after a short power cut. A booster is useful if your inlet pressure is low.
What do owners say about service and repair costs?
This is where the rating drops. Posts on Team-BHP, TechEnclave and Indian consumer-complaint sites repeatedly describe sealed drum assemblies that are costly to replace, with five-figure out-of-warranty quotes, and long waits for spare parts. Not every owner has this experience, and some praise their installation and service, but the pattern is consistent enough to count against the machine.
Our own service enquiry took several days to get a callback, and a technician slot was offered a week later.
Should you buy it?
Buy it only if you have a trusted service centre nearby and place noise and rinsing first. For most households, the LG FHP1208Z5M costs a little more, adds Wi-Fi and washes in less time, while the Samsung WW80T504DAX1TL does similar work for less.

How we tested
We tested the Bosch Series 6 WAJ24267IN for 5 weeks on loan, washing cotton, jeans, sports kit and bedsheets in hard water of about 350 ppm. We timed cycles, measured water and noise, checked rinse residue, and called Bosch support with a dummy service enquiry to see how quickly it replied.
The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. Bosch India lent us the unit for 5 weeks and returned it afterwards. Bosch did not see or approve this review. We have no commercial relationship with Bosch beyond affiliate links.

LG FHP1208Z5M 8 kg Front Load B+ 8.2
The LG FHP1208Z5M costs a little more on the street, adds Wi-Fi and finished its cotton cycle in about 2 hours 5 minutes against the Bosch's 3 hours 35 minutes eco cotton programme. Spin noise was similar: about 64 dB on the LG and 66 dB on the Bosch.

Quieter at spin than the IFB Senator Neo MXS 8012 (about 66 dB against 74 dB) and left cotton drier (about 48 against 52 per cent residual moisture), which makes monsoon drying easier.

Questions buyers ask
Is the Bosch WAJ24267IN quiet?
Yes. The EcoSilence Drive measured about 66 dB at 1 metre during top spin, quieter than the IFB Senator Neo MXS 8012 and similar to the LG FHP1208Z5M.
How long does the Bosch WAJ24267IN take to wash?
The eco cotton cycle took about 3 hours 35 minutes in our test. Shorter programmes exist, but they do not clean heavily soiled clothes as well.
Are Bosch washing machine repairs expensive in India?
Owner posts on forums such as Team-BHP, TechEnclave and consumer-complaint sites describe drum or bearing failures after warranty with five-figure repair quotes and long waits for spares. We could not verify individual claims, so confirm the warranty terms and extended cover before buying.
Does the Bosch WAJ24267IN have Wi-Fi?
No. It has a touch panel and standard programmes but no app control, which is a gap at this price when LG and Samsung offer it.
