Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P Review: Laser-Mapped on a Budget
Our verdict
The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P is a laser-mapped robot vacuum and mop that cleans a 2BHK in orderly rows with a usable app, though its 2,200 Pa suction is only modest.
Buy it if
- Flats with mostly tile or marble that want a saved map and zone cleaning
- Users who like app scheduling and voice assistant control
Skip it if
- You have thick rugs, a pet that sheds heavily or long-haired family members
- You want a dock that empties itself
What we like
- Laser mapping covered a 1,000 sq ft 2BHK in about 70 minutes with few overlaps
- Zone cleaning and no-go lines in the app worked reliably
- Picked up about 95% of fine flour from tile in a single pass
- Works with voice assistants for start and stop
What we don’t
- 2,200 Pa left rice and grit behind on a low-pile rug
- No camera, so it still drove into loose cables and a slipper
- Mop is a passive damp pad with no lifting on carpet
- Spares outside big cities are harder to find

The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P is for flats with mostly hard floors that want a saved map without spending dock-level money. Its trade-off is suction: 2,200 Pa handles daily dust but not heavy hair, grit or thick rugs.
How well does it map and clean a 2BHK?
This is the model’s strongest point. It built a map on the first run, we split it into rooms in the app, and later runs covered the 1,000 sq ft flat in about 70 minutes with few repeat passes. Zone cleaning is practical: send it to the kitchen after cooking and skip the bedrooms. Moving furniture between runs confused the map once; re-mapping fixed it.
Does it pick up dust, rice and hair?
On tile it lifted about 95% of fine flour in a single pass and around 85% of dry rice. On a low-pile rug the figures fell to roughly 65% and 40%, and hair needed a scissor-cut from the brush each week. For Indian dust that blows in daily, that is acceptable on hard floors and poor on rugs.
Is the mopping good for marble and vitrified tile?
It drags a damp pad and does not scrub. In our test it removed dusty film and light footprints from marble, but not dried tea drops. Water flow is set in the app, and on the lowest level we saw no streaks on dark vitrified tile. It does not lift the pad on carpet, so close the rug area with a no-go zone before mopping.
Does it get stuck on cables, rugs and thresholds?
A laser map does not mean obstacle recognition. We recorded around three stuck events a week, almost all on phone cables and a slipper left on the floor. It crossed thresholds of about 1.5 cm but not higher. Clear the floor as you would before the maid arrives.
How long does the battery last and how loud is it?
It ran about 2 hours 10 minutes in standard mode, enough for a 2BHK with some left over. Noise was around 64 dB at one metre, rising to about 68 dB on the strongest setting. If the power goes off mid-run, it returns to dock when the battery is low and continues cleaning where it left off once charged.
What about the app and Wi-Fi?
It works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, which many dual-band routers handle once you split the bands. The app offers scheduling, room naming, no-go zones and voice control. Setup took about ten minutes.
What about service and spares?
Xiaomi runs service centres in major Indian cities, but we found brushes and mop cloths harder to find in smaller towns, and owner reviews often mention slow support. Budget for brushes and mop cloths every year.
Who should buy something else?
If you have rugs, pets or want a hands-free dock, look at the Dreame L10 Prime or the Mova E40 Ultra.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We ran the Xiaomi daily for four weeks in a 2BHK with vitrified tile, a marble corridor and two rugs. We measured pickup of flour, rice and hair, timed full-home coverage, counted stuck events per week, and measured sound at one metre.
The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. Loaned by the brand's India distributor for four weeks and returned afterwards. No payment was received, and the loan carried no review conditions.
How does the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P compare?
-
Mova E10 Robot Vacuum and Mop B− 7.3
The Mova E10 is cheaper and runs longer, but it has no map. The Xiaomi covers the same flat faster and lets you clean one room at a time.
-
Dreame L10 Prime Robot Vacuum and Mop B− 7.2
The Dreame costs far more but has stronger listed suction, lifts its mop on carpet and washes its own pads. The Xiaomi suits buyers who want the map without the dock.
-
Mova E40 Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop A− 8.6
The Mova E40 Ultra costs far more but adds a self-emptying, mop-washing dock and picked up about 90% of flour from a low-pile rug against about 65%.

Questions buyers ask
Is the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P good for Indian homes?
Yes, for tile and marble flats. The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P mapped our 1,000 sq ft 2BHK with a laser and finished in about 70 minutes, but it is weaker on rugs and heavy hair.
How strong is the suction on the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P?
It is listed at 2,200 Pa. That is enough for daily fine dust on hard floors, but we measured only about 65% pickup of fine flour from a low-pile rug.
Does the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P empty itself?
No. It docks only to charge, so you empty its small dustbin by hand after most runs, particularly in dusty months.
Does the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P work with Alexa or Google Assistant?
It works with voice assistants for basic start and stop commands and runs from the app on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
