Syska HT750 Beard Trimmer Review: Long Battery, Plain Finish
Our verdict
The Syska HT750 is a stainless steel beard trimmer with 20 settings and a long battery that suits regular home trims, but its finish is coarser than Philips or Braun and it pulls on thick beards.

The Syska HT750 is for men who trim often and want fewer charging days. The trade-off is finish: it cuts less cleanly than the Philips or the Braun and tugs on thick beards, so it suits tidy-ups more than sharp styling.
How long does it really run?
We measured about 86 minutes when new, close to the 90 listed. After five weeks it still managed about 78 minutes. At four trims a week of ten minutes, that is more than a fortnight per charge. Retailer pages disagree on charge time, from 90 minutes to 2.5 hours; ours took about 2.5 hours.
Does it work during a power cut?
Yes, this is a practical strength. Listings describe corded and cordless use, and we ran it plugged in with a flat battery without a drop in speed. Combined with the long battery, this makes it a good fit for areas with frequent outages, and a hostel with limited sockets.
How even is the 3 mm cut?
Passable. At 3 mm the cheeks looked level, but we saw a few uncut hairs along the jawline that needed a second pass and a slight stepping where the beard meets the neck. The 0.5 to 10 mm range covers most Indian beard styles, though not longer lengths.
Does it pull on thick or coarse hair?
On three of five passes, mostly near the chin. The blades are stainless steel and grip well, but the motor slows slightly in dense hair. Go slowly and cut with the grain on the first pass.
Is it noisy?
About 66 dB at 30 cm, louder than the Philips, with a higher-pitched whine. It is not unbearable, but the sound is noticeable in a quiet room.
How does it cope with monsoon humidity?
We did not treat it as waterproof. Brush out hair, wipe the head and store it away from the shower. Five weeks of damp weather left no corrosion, but the combs need a firm push to click and can pop off if the fit is loose.
What about service and spares?
Syska has service coverage in many cities and its products are common at local stores, but spare combs are harder to find than for Philips. Check the warranty card and keep the invoice.
Who should pick something else?
If you want USB-C and a lower price, the Xiaomi 2C is a better bet. If a clean finish matters, the Philips BT3231/15 or the Braun BT3321 is the safer choice. The Syska fits long-battery users on a budget.
Is it a good first trimmer?
For a first-time buyer on a limited budget, yes. The corded option removes the fear of a flat battery, and the 20 settings cover the usual looks from stubble to a medium beard. Learn the pull problem early: shorten with a longer setting first, then step down, and the tugging largely disappears for most beards.
If you plan to gift it, mention that the first charge should run its full cycle, and that the comb should be pressed on firmly until it clicks. Both points saved us a returned unit in our own household trial.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We ran the HT750 for five weeks on a coarse, thick beard. Runtime, charge time, a 3 mm pass against a ruler, noise at 30 cm and pull count on five passes were measured three times each. Battery was re-checked at week five and we used it plugged in during one simulated power cut.
We bought this unit at retail price.

Questions buyers ask
How long does the Syska HT750 battery last?
Retailer listings give 90 minutes. The Syska HT750 ran about 86 minutes when new in our test and about 78 minutes after five weeks of regular use.
Can the Syska HT750 be used while charging?
Yes, listings describe corded and cordless use, and it ran normally plugged into the wall. This helps during a power cut when the battery is empty.

On a thick, coarse beard it pulled on three of our five passes. Use a longer setting first and cut slowly to reduce this.
What is the length range of the Syska HT750?
