Braun BT3321 Beard Trimmer Review: Precise, Pricey
Our verdict
The Braun BT3321 is a precise 20-setting beard trimmer that cuts more cleanly than rivals at its price, though it costs more than Philips or Xiaomi and has a thinner service network.

The Braun BT3321 is for men who care about clean edges and a tidy beard line, and are willing to pay more for them. The trade-off is value: it asks a higher price than Philips or Xiaomi for a battery that is no longer, and service is thinner outside metros.
How even is the 3 mm cut?
This is where the Braun stands apart. At 3 mm the stubble came out level after two passes, with no visible steps at the cheek-to-neck blend. The blade head is slim and the teeth are fine, so detailing around the moustache and under the lip is easier than on the Philips. Against a ruler, we saw variation of well under 1 mm.
Does it pull on coarse hair?
No pulls in five passes through a thick beard, which was the best result in this batch. It cut through wiry hair at the chin without slowing. A beard left for a month still needed a longer setting first, but the Braun handled it without catching.
How good is the battery in real use?
We measured 47 minutes, a little under the listed 50. Over six weeks of three trims a week, it dropped to about 43 minutes. That is a mild fade. Charge time was about 10 hours on our unit, so overnight charging is the sensible routine. For travel, carry the charger; do not count on topping up from a power bank, because we could not confirm a USB-C port from the retailer sources we found.
How loud is it?
About 59 dB at 30 cm, the quietest here. It is low enough to use early without waking others.
How does it handle humid bathrooms?
Wipe the head dry after use and keep the trimmer away from the shower. We did not treat it as waterproof and rinsed only the combs. After six weeks in a damp flat during the monsoon there was no rust on the blade.
What about service in India?
Braun has service partners in major cities, but spare combs and blade heads are not stocked by most local shops. If you live in a tier-2 town, buy from a seller with a clear replacement policy and keep the invoice. Ask the seller about the warranty term, as we could not verify it from a brand page.
Is it better than the Philips or the Xiaomi?
For cut quality, yes. For runtime, charging and price, no. The Philips BT3231/15 is easier to get repaired; the Xiaomi 2C offers USB-C and 40 settings at about half the price. Pick the Braun if the finish is what you pay for.
How should I maintain it?
Brush the head after every trim and wipe it dry. Follow the cleaning guidance in the box. Replace combs if they crack, and avoid dropping the dial end on bathroom tiles, where the plastic can chip. With careful use, we expect the blade to keep its edge for years, though we can only vouch for six weeks.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We used the BT3321 for six weeks on a thick, coarse beard. Each test was repeated three times: runtime to cut-off, charge time, a 3 mm pass photographed against a ruler, sound at 30 cm and a pull count over five coarse-hair passes. Battery was re-timed at week six.
The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. Braun's distributor lent the unit for six weeks and it was returned afterwards. No payment was involved and the brand saw nothing before publication.
How does the Braun Beard Trimmer 3 BT3321 compare?
-
Philips BT3231/15 Beard Trimmer B 7.6
The Braun left a cleaner 3 mm finish than the Philips BT3231/15, and its slim head made detailing around the moustache and under the lip easier. The Philips is easier to get repaired, and the Braun costs more for similar runtime.

Xiaomi Mi Beard Trimmer 2C B+ 8.0
The Braun wins on cut quality, but not on runtime, charging or price. The Xiaomi 2C offers USB-C and 40 settings at about half the price, so pick the Braun only if the finish is what you pay for.

Syska HT750 Beard and Moustache Trimmer B− 7.0
The Braun's runtime is no better than the Syska HT750's, which costs less, so the Braun's premium buys finish and build rather than battery life.

Questions buyers ask
Is the Braun BT3321 good for thick beards?
Yes. The Braun BT3321 pulled hair on none of five passes through a coarse beard in our tests and left a cleaner 3 mm finish than the Philips BT3231/15.
How many length settings does the Braun BT3321 have?
Comparison pages list 20 length settings on the dial. We found the steps easy to read and the setting did not shift during use.
How long does the Braun BT3321 run on a charge?
Retailer data lists 50 minutes. We measured about 47 minutes when new and about 43 minutes after six weeks.
Is the Braun BT3321 worth the extra money?
Only if cut precision matters to you. Runtime is no better than a Xiaomi or Syska trimmer at lower prices, so the premium buys finish and build.
