Philips NA352/00 9 L Dual Basket Air Fryer Review

Philips NA352/00 9 L dual basket air fryer, three-quarter view, charcoal grey with copper handles
Premium Pick

Our verdict

The Philips NA352/00 is a 9 L, 2300 W dual basket air fryer that cooks a full meal for four to six people in one go, at the cost of a large body and a dedicated 15 A socket.

Buy it if

  • Families of four to six who cook starters and a main together
  • Entertaining, where two items must finish at the same time
  • Cooks who want to stop doing batches back to back

Skip it if

  • Your counter is small or your kitchen has only 5 A points
  • You usually cook for one or two people

What we like

  • Two drawers cook different foods at once, which saves about 15 minutes per meal
  • 1 kg of frozen fries across both baskets finished in about 17 minutes
  • Evenly browned tikkas with one flip
  • Eight presets and a clear display
  • Philips service reaches most large cities

What we don’t

  • Needs a 15 A socket; 2300 W is too much for a 5 A point
  • Large footprint that takes real counter space
  • About 62 dB, louder than single-basket units

The Philips NA352/00 is for households that cook for four to six people and are tired of air frying in rounds. Its main trade-off is size and wiring: it is a big, 2300 W appliance that needs a 15 A socket, solid counter space and a willingness to pay a premium.

Does a dual basket really save time?

Yes, and this is the reason to buy it. We cooked 500 g of frozen fries in one drawer and 400 g of chicken tikka in the other, and the full meal was done in about 17 to 20 minutes, against nearly 35 minutes in a single-basket 4 L unit run twice. The fryer lets you set each drawer separately, so the chicken can sit at a higher temperature than the fries.

How well does it cook samosas, pakoras and tikkas?

Samosas reheated in 5 minutes and came out crisp on all sides. Chicken tikka at 190 °C took about 15 minutes with one flip, and paneer tikka took 12 minutes. Pakora batter needs a shallow oil brush and a tray liner, or it will stick, but a batch of 12 finished in about 14 minutes. Preheating to 200 °C took around 2.5 minutes.

Can it handle a 5 A socket, an inverter or voltage dips?

Not a 5 A socket. At 2300 W it draws close to 10 A, so it belongs on a dedicated 15 A point. We would not run it on a home inverter below 3 kVA, since the heater load is heavy. During a low-voltage evening near 200 V the heaters still worked, although the preheat stretched by about 40 seconds.

How much power and oil does it save?

A full 25-minute session with both drawers running used about 0.62 kWh, so a family cooking this way four times a week adds roughly 10 kWh a month. Cooking a meal in one go instead of two sessions is the bigger efficiency win. Oil use is a teaspoon or two per drawer for most snacks.

Is it noisy and is it easy to clean?

At about 62 dB at one metre, the fan is audible but not intrusive. Cleaning is fine: both drawers and baskets have a non-stick finish and rinse clean in a few minutes, and Philips lists them as dishwasher safe. Two drawers means two coatings to look after, so avoid metal tongs.

Will it fit my kitchen?

Measure first. The body is wide and tall, and the exhaust needs space at the back, so a counter shorter than about 50 cm in width is a squeeze. In small Indian kitchens, many owners store it on a trolley and bring it out for dinner.

What about service and warranty?

Philips has service centres in most large cities and many mid-size ones, which is a clear plus for a unit at this price. Read the warranty card in the box, because terms can differ between sellers, and keep the invoice.

Is it worth it over a single-basket model?

Only if you regularly cook for four or more. For two or three people, a 4 L single basket is cheaper, quieter and easier to store. If you host often or cook starters and mains together every day, the time saved is real and the premium pays back in convenience.

Questions buyers ask

How many people does the Philips NA352/00 feed?

The Philips NA352/00 has 9 L across two drawers, enough for four to six people. In our test it cooked 1 kg of fries or about 600 g of chicken tikka plus a side of vegetables in a single round.

Can the Philips NA352/00 cook two different things at once?

Yes. The Philips NA352/00 has two separate drawers, so you can cook chicken tikka in one and paneer or fries in the other, though the times differ and one drawer may need a few minutes more.

Does the Philips NA352/00 need a 15 A socket?

Yes. At 2300 W the Philips NA352/00 draws close to 10 A, so it needs a 15 A socket and a good-quality plug. Do not use a light extension board.

How much electricity does the Philips NA352/00 use?

A 25-minute session with both drawers running used about 0.62 kWh on our meter. Running a single drawer for a shorter session uses roughly half of that.
