Agaro Regency 33684 12 L Oven Air Fryer Review

Agaro Regency 33684 12 L oven-style air fryer with rotisserie, three-quarter view, black and stainless steel

Our verdict

The Agaro Regency 33684 is a 12 L, 1800 W oven-style air fryer with rotisserie that suits bigger batches, but it heats slowly, takes a lot of counter and is awkward to clean.

Buy it if

  • Families that bake, roast and air fry on trays
  • Cooks who want a rotisserie for whole chicken

Skip it if

  • You mainly want quick snacks for two people
  • Your counter is smaller than about 50 cm wide

What we like

  • Large tray holds 700 g of fries or a dozen samosas in one batch
  • Nine presets plus rotisserie, bake, toast and defrost
  • Quieter than basket fryers at about 56 dB
  • Even browning on tikka with one tray turn

What we don’t

  • Preheat to 200 °C takes about 6 minutes
  • Racks and trays are bulky and awkward to wash in a sink
  • Uses more electricity per session than a basket fryer
  • Service reach is thinner than Philips or Havells

The Agaro Regency 33684 is for households that want one machine to air fry, bake and roast a chicken, and have counter space for a box about the size of a microwave. Its trade-off is speed: it takes longer to heat and uses more electricity than a basket air fryer for the same snacks.

How long does it take to cook fries, samosas and parathas?

Preheating to 200 °C took about 6 minutes. After that, 700 g of frozen fries needed about 22 minutes with the tray turned once, while frozen samosas reheated in roughly 7 minutes. Parathas reheated well in 5 minutes on the middle rack, coming out soft with a lightly crisp surface, closer to a tawa result than a microwave gives.

Is it good for tikka and fish fry?

Chicken tikka for four people (about 600 g) cooked in 18 minutes at 200 °C, with decent colour and a juicy centre. Paneer tikka took 14 minutes. Fish fry with a besan or rava coating works best on the lower rack with a light oil spray. Because the fan sits at the back, the rear of the tray browned a little faster, so rotate it once.

What can the rotisserie do?

A 1.2 kg whole chicken on the spit took about 55 minutes and browned evenly. This is the feature that separates an oven-style unit from a basket air fryer. It is not a daily tool, but for weekend roasts it works without needing a full-size oven.

How much power does it use?

A 25-minute session including preheat used about 0.45 kWh. A basket air fryer finishes smaller snack batches on less. If you only reheat or cook for two, the oven-style format is an inefficient choice.

Is it easy to clean and is it noisy?

The trays are non-stick but large, and they do not fit comfortably in many Indian kitchen sinks. Grease collects at the bottom of the cavity, so wipe it after every second or third use. Noise was low, around 56 dB at one metre, quieter than the basket models we tested.

Will it work with a 5 A socket or an inverter?

No. At 1800 W it needs a 15 A socket, and we would not run it on an inverter below 2.5 kVA. On a 200 V evening supply it heated, but the preheat took about 8 minutes.

Does it fit a small kitchen?

Probably not. It needs roughly 45 to 50 cm of width and clear space on top for heat and above and behind for the exhaust. Many owners keep it on a separate table.

What about warranty and service?

Agaro sells mainly online, and service centres are fewer than Philips or Havells. Check the warranty term on your box, register the unit and keep the bill.

Should I buy this or a basket air fryer?

If you cook mostly small snack batches, a 4 L basket unit is faster, cheaper to run and easier to wash. Choose the Regency only if you will actually use the rotisserie, bake on trays or cook for a full family, and have the counter and a 15 A socket ready for it.

Questions buyers ask

Is the Agaro Regency 33684 a real air fryer or an oven?

The Agaro Regency 33684 is an oven-style air fryer: a 12 L box with a fan and trays instead of a drawer. It crisps food like a basket air fryer, but it heats more slowly and uses more power.

How many people does the Agaro Regency 33684 feed?

The Agaro Regency 33684 feeds four to five people per batch. In our test it cooked about 700 g of fries or a dozen samosas on one tray.

How long does the Agaro Regency 33684 take to preheat?

It took about 6 minutes to reach 200 °C in our test, roughly double the time of a 4 L basket air fryer. Skip preheat only for reheating.

Can the Agaro Regency 33684 run on a 5 A socket?

No. At 1800 W the Agaro Regency 33684 draws close to 8 A, so it needs a 15 A socket.
