Water Purifiers Review
Livpure Stealth UTC Review: Cheap Under-Sink RO, Weak Service
Our verdict
The Livpure Stealth UTC is a low-priced under-sink RO+UV+copper purifier that cleans water acceptably, but it drains the most water here and owner reports on Livpure's service are poor.

The Livpure Stealth UTC is for buyers who want an under-sink RO at the lowest price and accept the risk on service. It cleans typical borewell water adequately, but wastes the most water in this group, and public complaints about Livpure’s after-sales put it well behind Aquaguard, Kent and Boon.
Does it clean borewell water properly?
Adequately. From 450 ppm it gave about 45 ppm, from 900 ppm about 78 ppm and from a 1,500 ppm spike about 150 ppm, the weakest result here. Livpure lists membranes for up to 2,000 ppm, but we would stay below 1,000 ppm. The copper stage was not something we could judge by taste.
How slow is the flow?
Croma lists 15 L per hour. A 20 L can took about 55 minutes from a full 7 L tank, the slowest of the seven. For a family of two or three it is fine; for a joint household it will run out in the evening rush.
How much water does it waste?
About 3.0 L of reject per litre purified at 450 ppm and 3.8 L at 900 ppm. In cities with water cuts, that adds up. Collect it for flushing and cleaning.
Is it noisy, and what about power cuts?
The pump was about 47 dB at 1 m, the loudest in the group, and it ran for around 6 minutes after a heavy draw. It uses about 50 W, so a small inverter will run it, and the tank gives water without power.
What do owners say about service?
The hardware gets mixed but acceptable feedback, with a 4.2 average across tens of thousands of Flipkart ratings. Service is the problem. Public complaint pages show many unresolved cases, including an AMC buyer whose unit stayed broken after repeated follow-ups. Livpure does not publish a filter-set price for this model, so we estimate about Rs 5,000 a year in filters and service. Ask your local dealer who actually services Livpure units before you buy.
Is it easy to install under a sink?
It is a conventional rig with a chrome cross-handle tap that gives limited height for pots. It fits most standard cabinets, though it lacks the slim profile of the Boon Tap. There is no app and no live TDS display.
What is the warranty and AMC situation?
Retailer listings show a 1-year warranty, and Livpure’s own page mentions preventive maintenance visits. Public complaints mention an AMC unit that stayed broken after repeated follow-ups. If you buy it, keep the invoice, ask for the service request number each time and photograph the display fault. Compare this with Boon’s 2-year warranty and up to four scheduled maintenance visits.
Is the copper stage worth it?
Copper is a marketing feature more than a measured benefit here, and we saw no change in taste or TDS from it. Judge the Stealth on membrane quality, flow rate and service, not on the copper claim. A TDS meter is a cheap way to check the output yourself after installation.
Who should look elsewhere?
Almost everyone who can stretch the budget. The Boon Tap RO has a longer warranty, the Kent Excell Plus has a wider service network, and the Havells Fab UTC fills cans faster.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We tested the Stealth UTC on a Kolkata supply that read 300 to 600 ppm TDS and a 1,500 ppm salt-spiked sample. We logged output TDS with a handheld meter, timed 20 L fills, measured reject water, recorded noise at 1 m and tracked power with a plug meter.
We bought this unit at retail price.
How does the Livpure Stealth 7 L RO+UV+Copper Under-Sink Water Purifier compare?
-
Boon Tap Under Sink RO Water Purifier A 9.1
The Boon Tap RO has a 2-year warranty with up to four scheduled maintenance visits, against the Livpure Stealth's 1 year, and the Livpure drains more water than any other unit in this group.
-
KENT Excell Plus Under-the-Counter RO Water Purifier B− 7.2
The Kent Excell Plus has a wider service network, while public complaints about Livpure's after-sales put the Stealth well behind Kent. The Stealth makes sense only if the price gap matters most.
-
Havells FAB Alkaline UTC Water Purifier C 6.8
The Havells Fab UTC fills cans faster than the Livpure Stealth, which was the slowest to fill a 20 L can in our tests.

Questions buyers ask
How good is Livpure service for the Stealth UTC?
Poor, based on public complaints. ConsumerComplaints.in shows a 2.1 rating for Livpure with more unresolved complaints than resolved ones, and Trustpilot reviews are mostly negative. Individual experiences vary by city.
How much water does the Livpure Stealth UTC waste?
About 3.0 L of reject per litre of purified water at 450 ppm and 3.8 L at 900 ppm, the highest in our group. Route the drain to a bucket.
What is the capacity of the Livpure Stealth UTC?
Retailer listings give a 7 L tank and 15 L per hour. A 20 L can took about 55 minutes from a full tank in our tests.
Is the Livpure Stealth UTC worth buying?
It makes sense only if the price gap to Havells or Kent matters most and a reliable local dealer services Livpure. Otherwise the Boon Tap RO's 2-year warranty and Kent's wider network are safer.
