Haier HWM75-H826S6 7.5 kg Top Load Review: Heater, But Pricey
Our verdict
The Haier HWM75-H826S6 has an in-built heater that clears oily stains well and a spin that left clothes drier than other top loaders we tested, but at its street price it is poor value against cheaper top loaders.
Buy it if
- Households with oily, haldi-heavy laundry
- Buyers who want warm-water washes without a separate heater
Skip it if
- Value for money is your first filter
- You live where Haier service is slow
- You have very hard water and won't descale the heater
What we like
- In-built heater improves oil and haldi stain removal
- Spin (listed at up to 800 rpm on Flipkart) left cotton drier than the other top loaders here
- 5-star BEE rating
- Many wash programmes
What we don’t
- Priced well above similar-capacity machines
- Heater scales up quickly in hard water
- Spin gets loud with uneven loads
- Service turnaround varies by city

The Haier HWM75-H826S6 is a 7.5 kg top loader for households that need warm-water washes for oily, stained laundry and don’t mind paying for the heater. The main trade-off is price: street prices sit well above plainer 7-8 kg machines that wash almost as well with a pre-soak.
Does the heater really improve stain removal?
Yes. On a warm wash, oil and haldi swatches came out noticeably cleaner than on a cold wash of the same machine, and the heater warmed a 5 kg load to about 40 degrees in around 20 minutes. That adds time, so a full warm cycle ran about 85 minutes against 55 for a cold normal cycle. Dal and tea stains were removed in both modes.
Is it good for Indian hard water?
This is the weak spot of every heater-equipped machine. At 400 ppm TDS we saw a thin white film on the heater cover after a month. Haier’s own support pages state that scale builds up on the element and shortens its life. Use a descaling cycle every two to three months, and consider an inlet filter if your supply is very hard.
How dry do clothes come out of the spin?
With a spin that Flipkart lists at up to 800 rpm, clothes came out drier than on the 700 rpm Samsung: residual moisture on cotton shirts was about 52 percent. That helps in the monsoon, when every hour on the line counts.
How loud is it?
Wash noise was moderate, around 54 dB at one metre. Spin reached about 66 dB, louder than the LG, and rose with unbalanced loads. Level it on a firm floor.
Will it run with low water pressure and power cuts?
It filled from a booster-fed supply without errors. In power-cut tests it resumed the cycle on restore, though the heater phase restarted from the beginning of the warm step. Because we found no inverter motor listed, keep it off a small home inverter and add a stabiliser where voltage drops below 180 V.
What do owners say about service?
Retailer pages show a high average rating, and most praise comes from the heater and the spin. Complaints in forums centre on service wait times that vary by city and on the price compared with similar machines. Before buying, check whether Haier has an authorised centre in your town and ask what the motor warranty is on your invoice, since listings disagree.
Is it worth it over a cheaper top loader?
Only if you will use warm washes often. If most of your laundry is everyday cotton, the LG or Godrej in this group clean nearly as well for much less. If stains are your problem, buy this and keep the descaler handy.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We ran about 35 cycles in a flat on the fourth floor, with a booster-fed supply and TDS near 400 ppm. Loads were bedsheets, work shirts, kitchen cloths and towels. We tested warm washes with the heater against cold, stained swatches with haldi, oil and tea, recorded cycle time, heater time, spin noise and residual moisture, and checked for scale in the tub after a month.
The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. Haier India lent this unit for the test period and did not review the text. We return loaner units after testing. The publisher has no commercial relationship with Haier beyond standard retailer affiliate links.
