Our verdict
The Eureka Forbes Kordfree K20 SuperSilent is a quiet, easy-to-live-with cordless stick vacuum that cleans Indian homes well for its price and is backed by India's widest service network.

The Eureka Forbes Kordfree K20 SuperSilent suits flats where noise and service matter as much as suction. The trade-off is power: it does not match a Dyson on deep fabric, and runtime drops sharply once you leave the lowest mode.
How well does it clean daily dust?
On vitrified tile it removed about 93% of a fine-dust patch in one pass, and about 97% by the second. Rice cleared in two passes. It does not push dust ahead of the head, which is a common failing of cheaper sticks. A 2BHK took around 30 minutes.
Is it really quiet?
At about 68 dB at one metre in normal mode it was the quietest stick in this batch, and a baby sleeping in the next room did not stir during our test. In the high mode it rises, but never reaches the whine of cheaper units.
How long does the battery last?
Eureka Forbes rates up to 50 minutes on low mode. We saw about 44 minutes on low and about 11 minutes on high. Charging overnight is easy, and the battery can be swapped when it ages, which matters after a few years of use.
Does it clean sofas, curtains and car seats?
The handheld mode handled the sofa at about 82% cleanliness, a little behind the Dyson. Curtain pleats and car footwells were quick work with the crevice tool. The wall mount helps keep it out of the way in a small flat.
How quickly does the filter clog?
With Indian fine dust the cyclonic stage keeps the HEPA clean for longer, but we still saw suction dip after about three weeks and rinsed the mesh and foam filters. Let them dry fully before refitting.
What about service in tier-2 cities?
This is where Eureka Forbes beats newer brands. Its network is among the widest in India, and a replacement battery is sold on its own site. Registering the purchase and keeping the invoice speeds up any claim.
Who should look elsewhere?
If you want the best pick-up on thick sofas and rugs, step up to the Dyson V8 Absolute. If you want a longer runtime at higher power, the Dreame R10 Pro lasts longer.
Does it work for pet hair and long hair?
Reasonably. Long hair from a rug was picked up at about 90% in two passes, with some wrapping on the roller that took a minute to cut free every few days. For a home with a shedding dog, expect to empty the bin daily; its size is modest and fills quickly on fur.
Will it run during or after a power cut?
It will run off its battery, and a full charge lasts about 44 minutes on low, longer than the roughly 30 minutes a 2BHK took us. The weak point is topping up when the mains is off for long hours, because there is no quick-charge to speak of. Keep the second battery in mind if your area has frequent outages.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We used the K20 for six weeks in a 2BHK with tile floors, a fabric sofa and a car. Dust, rice and pet-hair tests were run three times, runtime was logged in each mode, and sound was measured at one metre.
We bought this unit at retail price.
