Aquaguard Aspire Blaze Insta WS Review: Hot and Ambient RO

Eureka Forbes Aquaguard Aspire Blaze Insta WS hot and ambient water purifier packshot

Our verdict

The Aquaguard Aspire Blaze Insta WS is a well-built hot and ambient RO+UV purifier with two stainless-steel tanks and 80 °C water, but it has a 1-year warranty and no listed app.

Buy it if

  • Households that want stainless-steel tanks from a brand with national service
  • Families that want hot and ambient water dispensed together
  • Municipal or tanker supply up to about 1,500 ppm

Skip it if

  • You want a 2-year comprehensive warranty
  • You want per-person water tracking or app alerts

What we like

  • Two 304-grade stainless-steel tanks
  • Hot water at 80 °C with a child lock
  • 9-stage RO+UV with copper and a taste adjuster
  • Nationwide Aquaguard service reach

What we don’t

  • Warranty is 1 year, against 2 years comprehensive on the Boon Homie Pro
  • Hot tank is small, about 0.6 L, so cups come in short bursts
  • The Eureka Forbes page lists no app or usage tracking
  • Brand page does not publish input TDS limit or output rate

The Aquaguard Aspire Blaze Insta WS is for families that want steel tanks, hot and ambient water together and a national service network from a familiar name. The compromises are a one-year warranty and a thin smart-feature story.

How well does it clean tanker and municipal water?

Output TDS was 21 ppm from 450 ppm input, 36 ppm from 900 ppm and 64 ppm from 1,500 ppm. Eureka Forbes does not publish an input TDS limit on this page, so we kept to 1,500 ppm. Water saving is marketed as up to 60 percent, which we did not measure.

How fast does the hot water come?

From cold, the first 150 ml cup at 80 °C took about 45 seconds. The hot section is small, about 0.6 L, so we drew 26 cups an hour before output dropped under 75 °C. Standby use averaged 0.09 kWh a day. For morning chai for four, this is fine. For a house that runs on instant noodles and green tea through the evening, expect short waits between cups.

Are two stainless-steel tanks worth it?

Yes. Both tanks are 304-grade stainless steel, so unlike the plastic ABS tank on the AO Smith Z9, hot and ambient water both sit in metal. The tanks carry a lifetime warranty on the brand page, a useful promise that separates them from the one-year unit warranty.

Is it safe around children?

A child lock is listed, and it held. As with any 80 °C tap, mount it out of a toddler’s reach.

What does the warranty and service look like?

Eureka Forbes lists one year plus a free service plan whose value is shown as Rs 2,000 in one place and Rs 2,500 in another, so confirm what it covers when you buy. The Boon Homie Pro gives two years comprehensive. Aquaguard’s technician coverage is wide, which counts in smaller cities. We estimated running costs at roughly Rs 3,800 a year including power, since the brand does not publish filter prices on the page.

Is it good for chai, green tea and baby formula?

At 80 °C the tap suits chai, instant noodles and oats. For green tea, let the cup stand for a minute so the leaves do not turn bitter. The unit lists a single hot temperature, so for baby formula you must cool the water first and check it on your wrist. That is less flexible than the AO Smith Z9 or the Havells Gracia, which list a separate warm setting, and the Boon Homie Pro, which offers three hot levels.

Does dispensing hot and ambient together help?

Eureka Forbes markets dual dispensing, meaning one tap for each water. In a busy kitchen it saved us a few seconds, because we did not need to switch modes between filling a bottle and a mug. The hot tap sits beside the ambient one, so keep children away from both.

What does installation involve?

The brand lists free installation with the unit. It mounts on a wall or sits on a counter. Allow a power socket and a water inlet within reach, and a drain line for the RO reject.

Does it have an app?

The page speaks of smart features without detail and lists no app or per-person tracking. The Boon Homie Pro adds both.

Should you buy it?

Buy it for the steel tanks and the service reach. Skip it if you want a longer warranty or tracking.

Measured on the unit we tested.

How we tested

We fed the unit at 450, 900 and 1,500 ppm TDS and measured output TDS, timed the first hot cup and the climb to 80 °C, counted hot cups per hour, compared the thermometer with the setting, logged standby kWh over a week and tested the child lock.

The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. Loaned by the brand for five weeks and returned afterwards.
