Which cleans fine dust and sofas better?
The Dyson V8 Absolute, by a small but consistent margin. It lifted more fine dust from vitrified tile in one pass and more embedded dust from a fabric sofa in handheld mode, and it left nothing visible along skirting edges. The Dreame R10 Pro is close behind on both, and its LED head light made dust under beds and sofas visible, which helps you clean what you would otherwise miss. Both needed two passes for rice.
Which battery lasts longer?
The Dreame R10 Pro, by a wide margin. In eco mode it covered our 2BHK and the car on one charge. The Dyson’s normal mode also cleaned a 2BHK, but with a short top-up for the car, and its Max mode runs out in about seven minutes, as Dyson itself states. The Dyson takes about five hours to recharge, so plan charging in the evening if power cuts are common. The Dyson’s battery is removable; ask the seller whether the Dreame’s can be replaced and where.
Which is easier to use every day?
The Dreame. It is light and balanced enough to clean for its full runtime without wrist strain, and it suits overhead curtain work. The Dyson’s trigger must be held down throughout, which tires the hand after about ten minutes of overhead cleaning. Both have small bins that need emptying often in a dusty home, and both filters needed rinsing after about three weeks of daily use. The Dreame has no display for remaining runtime.
Is Dreame’s service in India good enough?
Check before you buy, especially outside the metros. Dyson has an established service network and lists genuine batteries, filters and heads, though spares in tier-2 cities may need ordering. Dreame’s network is much smaller, and owners report slow replies and long waits for spares. If you buy the Dreame R10 Pro, buy from a retailer with an easy return policy, confirm the one-year warranty on the card and register the unit the day it arrives.
