Prestige Iris 750W Mixer Grinder Review: Four Jars, Fair Value

The Prestige Iris 750W suits families that want a juicer jar in the box and a recognisable appliance brand without paying premium prices. The trade-off is that it is noisier and slower than the best 750 W machines, especially on batter.
How well does it grind idli and dosa batter?
Acceptably. A 1 kg batch took about 16 minutes, about a minute behind the Philips and five minutes behind the Sujata. Batter fermented properly and dosas crisped well. It is fine for weekly idli; heavy daily batter users should pick a stronger motor.
What about masalas and chutneys?
Dry masalas needed about 105 seconds to reach a fine powder, so larger batches mean waiting and refilling. Coconut and coriander chutneys came out even in the small jar. Clean the dry jar properly between turmeric and chilli to avoid cross-flavours.
Is the juicer jar good?
It does the job for sweet lime, carrot and pineapple. The pulp that came out was a little wet, so run the pulp through once more if you want more juice. For the price, having a juicer jar is a practical bonus.
How loud and warm is it?
Loud: about 84 dB at one metre. The motor body reached roughly 74 °C after three back-to-back batter batches, which is warm but did not trip the overload cut-out. Give it a pause between long runs.
Will it work on low voltage or an inverter?
It completed the masala test at 180 V. On a home inverter, choose 1.5 kVA or larger for regular use.
How about service and warranty?
Prestige has service points across most cities and spares are easy to find. Listings mostly say two years of warranty, and one third-party page mentioned a five-year motor warranty that we could not verify. Keep the bill and read the card.
Which Prestige Iris variant should I buy?
Prestige and retailers sell versions with three jars and with four, and model suffixes differ. Compare the jar list, juicer jar capacity and warranty line before ordering.
Who should buy something else?
Batter-heavy kitchens should choose the Sujata. If you want juicing and also faster grinding, the Preethi is better, though pricier.

How we tested
The unit was lent to us for four weeks. We ran the standard mixer grinder tests three times each, juiced sweet lime and carrots weekly, and ran the masala test on a 180 V supply.
The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. TTK Prestige supplied this unit on loan. The brand did not review the text before publication and had no say in the score.
