Our verdict
The LG 43UA82006LA is a straightforward 43-inch 4K webOS TV with an easy interface and LG's wide service network, but its 20 W speakers and 60 Hz panel leave it short of the price-led rivals on features.

The LG 43UA82006LA is for households that want a TV that simply works, with an easy menu and a service centre within reach. The trade-off is value: for the same budget you can find brighter, better-equipped sets from TCL or Xiaomi, with more memory and louder speakers.
Is webOS easier than Google TV?
For many people, yes. The launcher is a single row of large tiles, and the Magic Remote lets you point at what you want. Cold boot took about 17 seconds to a usable home screen, quicker than the Google TV sets in this price band. YouTube opened in around 5 seconds and Netflix in about 6. JioHotstar took roughly 8 seconds. The app catalogue is smaller, but every major Indian streamer was available.
How good is the picture?
Neat, not exciting. We measured a peak brightness near 300 nits, so it works well in a dimmed room and looks flat in strong daylight. Colours are natural out of the box, and the Alpha7 processor does a good job cleaning up compressed DTH channels, which matters if your family still watches regional-language news on a set-top box. Black levels are typical of an edge-lit class panel.
How does it handle IPL cricket?
Competent. The 60 Hz panel is limited, but LG’s motion handling kept pans on JioHotstar fairly steady with the smoothing set to low. We saw some blur on the ball against the pitch, which is common at this price.
How is the sound?
This is the weak point. The 20 W speakers reached about 74 dB at 80 percent volume before dialogue became harsh, and bass is minimal. Budget for a soundbar if the room is big.
Is it good for gaming?
Casual only. Input lag was about 14 ms in game mode, which is excellent for a basic set, yet there is no HDMI 2.1 or high-refresh support.
What about service and installation?
LG’s service network is the main reason to choose this over cheaper brands. Technicians in most cities visit within a few days, and installation and wall mounting are usually arranged by the dealer or the brand. Retailer MRP listings run high, so compare the street price against rivals before buying. In lightning-prone areas, use a surge protector.
Who should buy something else?
If you want the most brightness and features for the money, pick the TCL 43P7K. If your budget is tight, the Xiaomi comes in lower.
Does it use much power, and is it inverter-friendly?
In typical viewing it drew about 60 W and under 1 W on standby, so a small inverter can run the TV and a set-top box through an evening power cut. The TV restarted without errors after abrupt power loss in three trials. Brownouts can still stress electronics, so a stabiliser or surge-protected strip is a sensible add-on. LG also lists the model as a 2025 edition, which means stock may change as newer UA models arrive; check the model number on the carton before accepting delivery.

Measured on the unit we tested.
How we tested
We used the LG with a Tata Play set-top box and JioHotstar over Wi-Fi for three weeks. We timed boots and app launches three times each, measured brightness on a white window and sound at two metres.
The brand lent us this unit. They did not see or approve this review. Provided on a three-week loan from a retailer and returned after testing. No payment or editorial control.

Questions buyers ask
Is the LG 43UA82006LA easy for elderly people to use?
Yes. The LG 43UA82006LA runs webOS with large launcher tiles and a pointer-style Magic Remote, which older users in our testing picked up faster than a Google TV menu.
How loud is the LG 43UA82006LA?
It has 20 W speakers and we measured about 74 dB at 80 percent volume. That is enough for a bedroom but low for a hall with a fan running.
Does the LG 43UA82006LA have Google TV?
No. It uses LG's webOS, which covers Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and JioHotstar but has a smaller app catalogue than Google TV.
How good is LG service in India?
LG has one of the widest service networks among TV brands, with centres beyond metros. Quality still varies by city, so keep the invoice and book through the official helpline.
