Which should you buy?
Buy the TCL 43P7K for a bright living room: it is brighter, has QLED colour, twice the storage and a two-year warranty listed. Buy the Xiaomi X Series L43MB-AIN only for a dim bedroom or second TV, and only if it is the cheaper of the two when you buy.

Both are 43-inch 4K Google TVs with 60 Hz panels, three HDMI ports and thin service networks outside the metros. The TCL is the better television; the Xiaomi is the simpler buy for a small, dim room.
Which is better for a bright room?
The TCL. Its quantum-dot panel measured a peak near 380 nits, and colours stayed full when sunlight reached the screen. The Xiaomi measured about 290 nits, which is fine for evening viewing but washes out in a south-facing hall at noon. The Xiaomi’s own review suggests stepping up to the TCL if your room gets strong daylight.
Is Google TV faster on the TCL or the Xiaomi?
The TCL, by a few seconds everywhere: about 21 seconds to boot against 24, and YouTube in about 5 seconds against 6. Storage is the bigger difference. The TCL’s 16 GB held around a dozen apps before warnings appeared, while the Xiaomi’s 8 GB fills up after a few large apps.
Which sounds better?
Neither is good for films. The TCL measured about 80 dB and the Xiaomi’s 30 W Dolby Audio system about 78 dB at 80 percent volume; both have clear dialogue and thin bass, so plan a soundbar for a hall.
What about warranty and service?
The TCL lists two years; the Xiaomi lists one year, with some sellers adding a second year on the panel. Owners of both report slow technician visits. TCL complaints centre on delivery damage and delayed installation, Xiaomi complaints on slow visits and the occasional unit arriving used. Buy either from an authorised seller and film the unboxing.

Xiaomi X Series 43-inch L43MB-AIN Review: Cheap 4K Google TV
The Xiaomi X Series 43-inch L43MB-AIN is a low-priced 4K Google TV that suits a bedroom or small hall, but its 60 Hz panel, modest brightness and uneven service make it a value pick, not a picture-quality one.
