Which is quieter for a bedroom?

The Atomberg, by about 4 dB at top speed. It measured about 47 dB at one metre, the quietest fan in our group, and below 40 dB on the lowest speeds. The Superfan measured about 51 dB at top speed, audible in a silent bedroom but not intrusive, and nearly silent on speeds 1 to 3.

Which lasts longer on an inverter?

The Atomberg. On a 900 VA inverter with a 150 Ah battery and two LED bulbs, it ran about 21 hours at top speed against about 18 hours for the Superfan. On speed 2, both lasted well past a full night on the same setup.

Which moves more air?

They are close. The Atomberg measured 2.4 m/s at 1.5 m below the blades and the Superfan 2.3 m/s. The Atomberg adds a boost mode that raises the speed for a few minutes. Both kept running at 180 V with only a slight slowdown below about 190 V.

Which is easier to get serviced?

Neither is as easy as an induction fan, because the remote and control board need the brand’s technician. Atomberg owners mention waits for service visits in smaller towns, and local electricians do not stock its control board. Superfan’s network is smaller than Crompton’s, Havells’ or Bajaj’s, so call its helpline before buying outside a big city. The Superfan’s 5-year warranty listing is the stronger safety net.
